About Us

Janhit Society for Social Welfare (JSSW) is a registered non-governmental organization (NGO) that operates with a non-political, non-religious, and non-commercial character. The organization is dedicated to providing free qualitative education to children from economically weaker sections and backward classes of society.

Target Beneficiaries

JSSW primarily supports children whose parents are laborers living in slums and jhuggis (mud or polythene hutments). Due to poverty and illiteracy, these families are unable to enroll their children in public or government-run schools. The organization recognizes illiteracy as a curse and is committed to eliminating it to the best of its capacity.

Areas of Work

JSSW is actively involved in various social welfare activities, including providing free and quality education to underprivileged children, promoting health & hygiene awareness with a focus on disease prevention like HIV/AIDS, and supporting socio-economic development to improve livelihoods. The organization also assists lepers, laborers, and other vulnerable groups, works on environmental conservation through pollution control and waste management, and engages in solid waste collection and segregation from industrial areas to ensure a cleaner environment.

Objectives

  • Providing education and skill development to help communities become self-sustainable.
  • Enhancing health and hygiene awareness among women and children.
  • Encouraging population control and development of marginalized societies.
  • Improving environmental conditions to promote a healthier lifestyle.

Mission

Our mission is to minimize community suffering in the fields of education, health, HIV/AIDS, and livelihood. We strive to promote and provide qualitative education, health & hygiene awareness, and skill development to children, women, and communities that are socially and economically deprived.

Vission

Our vision is to create a society where every individual, regardless of their background, has access to quality education, healthcare, and sustainable livelihood opportunities, ensuring a dignified and empowered life.
